There are enough of these "seat reassignments" happening across most airlines that I wonder where the true problem lies. If Ms. Ann paid extra for her seat, how did that seat be granted to another deserving flier?

Bad programming somewhere in DL computers? Poor instructions to the staff? Unmerited overrides by staff? Not enough info to decide.

At some point it will fall back on poor management. That problems happen, no doubt. That peaceful resolutions can be difficult to manage, certainly.

But how an airline responds to a public criticism, in this day of universal cameras and social media, will prove to mean more to the long term health of a company than most anything else.

At least the company I used to work at had a pretty good PR department that seemed to never sleep ...

Does she have a new book coming out? That's usually when she gets exceptionally nasty.

I was wondering the same thing. The article I was reading also states that she paid for the exit row so she is not even an elite. Someone I know who works for DL was checking in Mitt Romney about a year ago and he was on a paid F ticket and he was a DM.

Too bad the FA/GA didn't recognize Ann Coulter, or even her name! Now another headache for DL's Management to deal with all the bad publicity that will surely follow on all the major TV stations once they get hold of the news!

Why should they know who she is?

Commentators are 10 a penny.

Isn't she in trouble for voting in two states in the same election?

I'll skirt Omni territory and say I wouldn't trust Coulter to follow crew instructions and open an emergency exit if called to do so.

And that given Coulter's reputation among non-Fox News viewers, if they've even heard of her, Delta isn't likely to lose much, if anything, over this.

I actually sat next to Mitt Romney on a DCA-ATL segment in the fall of 2015.
