A350 service from DTW>ICN>DTW starts on Nov. 18th, however, unlike the NRT routing, it's not a daily flight as the B744 is also still flying the route!

pretty sure those are DL employees. They were on DL276 still on 13Nov, helping the FAs particularly in Premium Select with the food service scheduling and execution.

Sadly no. The 747 wheels even turn. But the A350 has to sit on a stand, or on its belly.

A350 Delta one Suites - First thoughts

I don't see a consolidated thread on A350 experiences yet, so I thought I would start one.

Having just returned from round trip DTW-NRT in Delta One "suites" I thought I would share a few comments and notes on the product:

Pros:
  • I found the seat to be very comfortable for someone who is 6'6. I can't say the same about the 747 seat in BE that this plane is replacing.
  • Entertainment system screen is very high quality - I found it to be great
  • Two good crews in both directions
Cons:
  • I found the suite to be very much over engineered and unnecessary features.
  • The door provides little value as anyone walking in the aisle can see over it. The door itself is very flimsy and does not close all the day
  • There is a button to turn on and off the "feature light" that doesn't seem to provide much value
  • The lavatory door was easily jammed, and had to be Taken off and put back on the tracks by the FA at one point during the flight, rendering the lavatory light inoperable - it was stuck in the dark light when you needed to use the restroom.
  • No air vents for the middle seats

Interesting......today's DTW-ICN appears to have been subbed for the 744. Are issues popping up with the A350?

Looks like it might have happened on Sunday too. DTW-ICN is scheduled to alternate daily between 747 and A350, but the 747 has flown 4 days in a row now.

Must have been a nice flight on the 744! A good amount of upgrades cleared into D1 and went out with over 90+ seats in the back.

What did they do with the people who were in Premium Select? Upgrade them to D1 or downgrade them to C+?

Award trip next month to PEK in J now has a broken DTW>PEK connection . MSN>DTW>ICN>PEK is showing up on list. Think it's worth the extra 8 hours of my time to fly on the A350 over the A330?
