That 270 AGP-JFK flight on Mon looks like they first started to divert to BOS, then got diverted over to PVD instead. Sat at PVD for ~3hrs then went to JFK for arrival around 10:30pm.

Flightaware says 270 landed in PVD at 6:48pm. Delta.com has them 'arriving' Gate 2 at 7:21pm and leaving at 9:13pm so they may not have processed at PVD.

Meanwhile, 214 landed at BOS at 7:48pm but 'arrived' at an E gate BOS at 10:01pm. I then left at 2:46am, so I'm sure they processed immigration at BOS

Yikes ... and that amount of time required in BOS speaks exactly to why the airlines don't like to do that. Not only the 10-2 time lapse for unloading, processing, and reloading, but also the 7:48-10 timeframe may have been spent trying to get a gate, scrambling some staff to head over to terminal E, etc. ... it's just a logistical mess. Plus the crew likely timed out at some point in that process so they may have had to wait for a backup crew to arrive.

Must have been some very grumpy and tired passengers by the time that ordeal was over.

DL48 eventually (not sure when) canceled. Second day in a row that 48 canceled. The inbound plane finally made it to JFK from BOS at 4:14am.

DL is running a special section DL9900 JFK-AMS this evening (a third AMS flight on top of the usual two on DL metal)

I was really hopping for a weather waiver for MSY this week, given the solid four days of storms in the forecast.

I was originally booked DL435 JFK-SFO yesterday (10p departure), SDCed over to DL430 leaving at 11am and was still on the tarmac for 2 hours before taking off trying to find a route around the storm.

Coworker of mine got stuck in DC for the better part of a day (poor guy was doing IAD-DTW-SFO I think) before finally making it out.

Rough day

Sigh. I had an award trip to New Orleans scheduled for this Friday. I cancelled this morning, before the 72 hour. I waited until the last minute, hoping they would issue a travel advisory. 12 hours later, and they finally issued the advisory. Any chance they will refund the redeposit fee? (I know the answer is no, but wow. They couldn't issue that advisory this morning?)
