Too good to be true?

We are celebrating a special occasion and traveling to LAX from MCO on 6/16. Flight # is DL1061. Seat guru is showing our first class seats as Delta One premium recliners, but that seems too good to be true?

Does Delta run Delta One seating for domestic first class?

What is the aircraft type?

KDCAflyer May 20, 2017 5:48 pm

I'm seeing a standard 757, with standard domestic first.

miraclebear2003 May 20, 2017 5:53 pm

Doesn't make sense. Looks like standard757.

Looks like SeatGuru always links to the 75S seatmap for any flights flown by a 757-200. In other words, it's a bug. Sorry OP, but you will be on a 75D model with standard domestic FC seats (as can be confirmed on delta.com).

https://www.seatguru.com/airlines/De...aii_75H_v2.php

DL does use the 75S on some non-D1 routes (like JFK-SEA), but it doesn't have any doing LAX-MCO.

Sometimes, although it won't be D1 service, amenities, or other privileges.

One way to check is to look at the number of rows of FC on the 757 seat map. If it's flat beds (in the 2-2 configuration, so not 100% direct aisle access like on the wide body aircraft), you'll see only four rows in the FC cabin.

Thanks everyone I figured as much. Our return flight shows the same seat map so I guess no joy there either.

I have had non transcontinental flights with lay flat seats, but you don't get the full menu, etc. Actually once on a flight from NY (either JFK or LGA, can't remember) to ATL we just got the usual snack basket.

Dlandrew May 20, 2017 7:34 pm

I have done this flight many times and it is always standard Delta First.

Ditto with RDU - ATL which is on the 757 that comes in from CDG though they do fully provision the blankets and pillows (at least they have when I've been on it) but otherwise just snack basket (not surprising though since it's a very short flight, I dare say the shortest regularly scheduled DL lie-flat)

Had to double check that it was regular, but the shortest would be PHL-JFK at 94 miles.

JFL/ATL normally sees one each direction during the day. Regardless JFK/LGA-ATL is an exception market and gets meals during meal windows.

If you have a 757 with only 16 seats up front, you have a Delta 1 equipped airliner. If there are 20 or more, then you get standard F seating.

That's what I said above, in my post #6 in this thread.

Yah. Have been on this and blankets/pillows and basic basket.
