HKG/SEA recent D1 meals?

Preparing my next HKG trip in a few weeks. Would anyone have recollection of the recent meal choice in D1 on this route?

Old thread but I figured I'd update.

D1 SPRING 2018 Menu

SEA-HKG, flown March 7, 2018.

Thank you! I am flying this route next month and am guessing the menu will be quite similar since DL already has the spring menu out.

Took HKG => SEA a few month ago and Chinese option was the worst airplane food I had in a long time (in any class).

FWIW, I had the lamb and it was definitely delicious.

The tomato bisque was yummy.

The mid-flight tuna itself was good, but its accompaniments were disgusting, though (and I am a sushi/Japanese food lover!)

I am flying HKG-SEA in about 2 hours and will post the menu after we land.

That menu looks a lot better than the Winter 2017 SEA-HKG menu! The meal I was served in Y from PDX-NRT a few weeks ago was a lot more appetizing than the D1 Chinese option that was served on my SEA-HKG back in November

I switched from the lamb to the salmon at the last minute and regretted it. It sounded wonderful while being described, but actually was extremely dry. It wasn't a large piece of salmon but I didn't finish it. On the other hand, the people on each side of me had the lamb. It looked great and judging by their empty plates, they enjoyed it.

Note - This was on the SEA to HGK flight on 3/2.

just to piggyback on this thread, does anyone know if sea-cdg this month will have a similar menu or are tatl and tpac different menus

The best place to start for any of these questions is the "definitive" meal thread:

As a counterpoint, my wife and I did a split order and we actually felt the reverse - that the salmon was better than the lamb. Could be dependent on how well the crew cooks it...

Yeah, that seaweed salad was gnarly. Way over salted and basically unchewable. I think Delta was trying to get rid of spare used tires by cutting them up into little strips and disposing of them piecemeal via catering carts. It’s a shame because the tuna and wasabi mousse itself was fabulous!

That certainly could be the case. Hopefully others had better experiences with the salmon.

As promised.....DL 38 HKG-SEA D1 Spring 2018 Menu (March 9, 2018)

The starter was good. The beef was the second best beef I have ever had on a plane--(CX F wins that crown)

Didn't they used to get all of the DM's meal requests before everyone else...??? I haven't flown DL much in the last two years, and 3 years for J as I switched to AA.

Haha.....omg....I literally spit that seaweed back out onto the tray after one "chew". Y - U - C - K - !!!!

It's a different menu. I few it a few weeks ago, but didn't take any photos. Looks like you are going before me. I'll have another one in April from CDG.
