I just went ahead and chose Choice Benefits (4 GUCs and 25,000 Bonus Miles). Pretty sure none of this will stick but perhaps Delta will give us something for our trouble.

Before looking for this thread I called Delta with my phone number that was linked to my Skymiles. When it answered "Diamond Desk" I knew something was going on. I questioned the whole thing and was told "You had 152,xxx MqM's last year" (It was about 90k I had thought). When I questioned my Diamond status I asked her to look at my account transactions. The Delta Diamond desk rep finally said "Honey, stop worrying, you are Diamond for 2017". I asked her to note I had called.

I sure hope DL claws back any GUCs that weren't earned. That's what I intend to worry about. It's hard enough to find upgrade space without it being grabbed by fake DMs.
