Seeing how all the credit card bonus trends are. Unless you need the card or the points in the near future, I would say hold on applying Amex cards for the bonus. In 5 years it might cost 130k for J to EU and the credit card might give you 100k bonus. But that's just me. And with the cost of tickets significantly lower the past year, it makes the miles less valuable.
