Could be a first indication of plans to swap aircraft on that date.

It's the continuation of an international flight.

True, but other days the ATL-LAX leg doesn't show lie flat seats. Seatmap still shows 737, but I was speculating that DL might be considering an AC swap.

At this point the icons look all out of whack for that flight. The icons suggest:
March 31, lie flat on a 738. April 1, lie flat on the 77L. April 2, no lie flat on the 77L. :D

If you click on the lie-flat icon it discusses a 757-200 International jet

jrl767 Mar 24, 2017 3:29 pm

31Mar the next flight (850a departure) is the 77L (icon and seat map confirming this)

that's true regardless of the flight for which it appears

777 is switching to a domestic configuration on the 2nd using 767 domestic FC seats in 3-2-3 configuration. :D /April Fools

1) Maybe, they're reconfiguring some 738s to lie flat for the new BOS/SFO & DCA/LAX routes! :)

2) Book it, and when you don't get it, do what all (good) FlyerTalkerz do..... DEMAND comp! :D

Must be an early April Fool's joke :D

yeah ... think I'll mention this over on the AS board ... they're cussing and discussing their reconfigured 738s and what they're going to do with the VX A319/320 fleet :D

sadly, there's no flight from DC that arrives into ATL early enough to make that connection, bcuz it would almost be worth it for the amusement value in the ensuing thread :p

I think even if Delta outfitted the 737 with all D1 seating and sold it at E fare prices people here would still complain about it.

Nah. I've got no beef with Alaska's 739s (well, any more than I do with their other aircraft.) It's the specific seats Delta chose and how they configured them that makes them miserable.

As others have pointed out, the venerable 752s are barely any better since the reconfiguration that stuffed a few rows of C+ forward of the L2 boarding door :(

yeah, I'm one of those ... same song, second verse; a little louder, a little worse

when DL first took delivery of their 757s (1985-1990 or thereabouts), they were in a 16F (!!) configuration, and that mini-cabin with 15 coach seats was prime real estate
