Me and a +1 were in 1B/C today and I can confirm those front two middle footwells are massive, significantly more so than other seats. For some context, that’s the pillow on top of the duvet in the footwell, both of which are stowed longways from left to right. Pretty sure I could have stowed my carryon suitcase with no issues had I not put my backpack there. I’m 6’3” and can’t stand the tiny footwells of today’s business class cabins - these were great! Was able to easily roll over and sleep sideways with no issues. Downside is you’re right beside the bathrooms (didn’t notice the traffic through).

Around 1-September 2019, DL swaps out a A359 aircraft doing the SEA-NRT city pairs and swaps in a A339 aircraft. From what I have analyzed so far, Delta has not redeployed this freed up aircraft into keeping it active in some way shape or form. I guess it may become a spare to be swapped in as the remaining used 12 A359 may need to be taken out of service for some "checks"....or, is this too soon for some of the oldest A359's that have now been around and in use now for 2 years? If new service is being thought of, it hasn't been disseminated yet. Any thoughts, rumors, etc?

Good information - thanks. So the 13 (A359's) + the 42 A330's (excluding the new 339's) totaling 55 aircraft will need to be upgraded to the 4 group cabins. Probably not fully completed within 2019 (or 2020), but fairly quickly. Will the remaining 2 undelivered 359's (that are scheduled to arrive sometime in 2020) going to be delivered to Delta fully dressed with 4 group cabins so no out of service will happen after delivery? I believe they will be used on the MSP-PVG-MSP legs to begin service in 2020-June sometime (if Delta is to be allowed to fly the city pairs).

3513 has entered revenue service:

That's it for A350s entering service in 2019; 2 more are coming next year.

Quick anecdote... Boarding DL133 this morning (AMS-DTW), the gate attendants repeatedly announced boarding for Premium Select. That's great and all, but 133 is on a A332. Looks like the KLM staff running the show can't keep things straight. Surprising, honestly, since the A359 isn't a super new addition to the route.

Thank you for that information. I guess using 359's for only the TPAC routes wasn't 100% correct. But if a TATL trip can fit into the 359's schedule and keep the current TPAC schedule, that's good. Planes don't make money sitting on the ground. No info on what happens after October 25th?
Anytime you drop an essential TPAC destination like HKG which has plenty of O&D traffic from many US cities, you are admitting you cannot compete with your own metal. Hate it as a DM traveler; like it as a DL shareholder.
They are leaning heavily on alliances for traffic to non-hubs in Asia. Will be interesting to see how they handle SIN once the last few Tokyo TPAC's move over to HND.

This is a change Airbus made to all 359s after a certain MSN, it's not specific to Delta. I believe the winglet is taller, and the wing twist is also slightly different.
