The axing of SEA-HKG is a statement of fact - after viewing DL schedule post 2018-October. The 359 ATL-NRT delay was a question as to why the delay by DL....maybe that has to do with the delay of 2 of the 359's delivery's being delayed until 2020, which originally were to be delivered in 2019.The DTW-HKG was a combination of speculation / question as DL did have at one time considering this new long route, but again....maybe not a daily routing.

Anyone fly the LAX-PVG route yet?

It's only been a month but not a single review in sight. Have a flight coming up this week in D1 and will definitely report.

How about N710DN (B777-200LR) - That ship might also be cabin refreshed.

The next 359 DL route to be converted is LAX-HND-LAX which happens 2019-Apr 01 (no joke). Currently, the only other HND service is MSP-HND-MSP - which is still locked in with the B777-200ERs through the end of July 2019 (that's as far as Delta's schedule goes out)..... This is probably the wrong thread for make the following news statement: MSP-ICN-MSP service begins 2019-04-01 also using the B777-200ER's.

In the A350, does the middle row 8 or 9 seats have a better visual of window 8's? Thinking of sitting a child in row 8 window while in seated in the middle. Or if anyone know the other rows are aligned better, TIA.

Only N863DA has been modded so far. The next to go to SIN for mods is supposed to be N701DN on Sept 4th, followed by another ER two weeks later. Let's keep this thread on track as this is all about the A350, not the B777!

If there is one thing DL should do to the D1 service it is to add a mattress pad like United Polaris has - that makes a huge difference. Or they should have selected a seat like Air Canada has on their 787 which has adjustable firmness control and the seat is a single pad with no gaps. Also slippers would be nice for bathroom runs.
I have not visited this thread for a while, but I noticed someone else in a different thread complain about the comfort of the bed.
I do ICN-ATL next week. I arrive home at midnight and the next morning I have fusion foot surgery.
Having just returned from Nigeria and now floating between HKG and TPE, I really need a few hours of solid sleep on that flight.
It is too late to bring something as I have only a rollaboard but how have others adjusted once onboard?

Use the blankets already on board. You can potentially ask an FA if there is an extra blanket/comforter and use that as a mattress pad. Or dress warm (if you like to sleep warm) and just use your own. For something in between, you can use your comforter as a mattress pad and ask for an extra thin blanket from Y/PS.

I'm guessing your thinking of my post here. I did use the comforter as padding. I still could feel the metal bars.

350 Suite Seat width/length variations

Will be on the 350 in November in J. The website section on Delta's fleet gives the following specs: D1 seat width-- 22-24 inches; bed length--76-81 inches.

Any idea which D1 Suite seats are the wider and longer?

Thanks

I believe the width is standard across all seats and changes by raising or lowering the armrest . I don't know about length.

According to Delta’s website, some seats are wider and longer than others. Does anyone have any idea which seats are the wider and longer?
