Sorry for the lack of clarity angra.I understand all too well the problem of pressure on the backs of legs and knees, and footrests are rarely positioned well for me. Lack of leg/knee support is not a problem on these seats as there is a solid, padded leg rest extending directly from the edge of the seat, not just a footrest. If you haven’t already done so, you can look at photos of the seat/leg rest/footrest configuration posted by Delta https://www.delta.com/content/www/en...m-economy.html and on various review sites. It was the adjustable position of the footrest at the bottom of the leg rest that I could not master — not sure why — but I lost patience and left the footrest folded up and let my feet dangle at the end of the leg rest which ended just above my ankle. It was very comfortable.

On A350 flights, does it take 2 GUCs to go from Main Cabin to D1? I have been told different things from various diamond line folks.

Don't know how well the rules are followed but according to DL.com, if you upgrade direct from Y to J on the A350 it's 1 cert; if you let the upgrade clear from Y to PE and then want to upgrade from PE to J that would take 2 certs, one each step. So best practices for most people would be to just waitlist for the J upgrade and not PE, and possibly only add a PE upgrade request close to departure if J isn't looking good and you don't mind burning the upgrade on PE (or the upgrade is about to expire anyway).

The flights I'm trying to upgrade are currently booked as V outbound and X inbound.

I was using "Y" as a class of service (Y is a shorthand for economy class) rather than a specific fare class. So V and X would be the same as Y in my formulation.

Anyone recently fly the A350 and use the Wifi? Have they had a chance to fix most of them? How was your experience? Thank you!

I completed a rt dtw-pvg yesterday. Both flights had adequate wifi. I noticed no more pajamas in delta one though. That was disappointing. Their comfort pack was upgraded relative to a few months ago. New tumi bag with hand sanitizer and a mouthwash packet in addition to the usual amenities. As much as I miss the 747 upstairs seating.... I like the new flatbed layout on the 359.
DLDC likes this.

I just happened to notice that Delta has delayed the A359 ATL-NRT service that was to start 2019-MAR-31. By that time in 2019, DL should have enough A350-900 aircraft to fulfill that route. Any reason that DL is delaying that route ?

Delta has also axed SEA-HKG in October 2018, Is it to be replaced by a DTW-HKG A359 trial, maybe not daily.

Just two more in 2019, and two more in 2020, and no firm dates for the final ten in the order of 25.

The final ten, that is if Delta are to take delivery of them, are scheduled to arrive in 2021-2023. Thinking here is Delta will convert them to A330neos or they will continue to defer them until the 777-200ER fleet is retired at the end of next decade.
