Dl 611/612 lax-hnl hnl-lax fc

About 2 years ago I used to be a regular on this flight and cleared at the window on a V fare. Any recent data points, particularly for PM, and PM+1 (companion)?

TIA

ab

As much as people say seat maps aren't indicative of upgrade availability, I've found on the west coast - hnl routes, they tend to match the mobile apps available upgrade seat number perfectly.

perhaps I've been picking bad times (Friday departure/Sunday night return), but as a DM+DM, I keep seeing flights run out of seats before the window opens. I guess FCM has hit these hnl flights in the last year.

HNL is a route that people pay for FC on. Also since RUC can be used on LAX/HNL the 767s and occasional 757 lay-flat book up quickly. I normally book DL611/612 and pay for F since it's not much more then Y inow advance. Of course then I wait for the inevitable schedule change and rebook MSP/JFK/ATL-HNL.
