Flights to CPH
 

Hello,

First time poster. I am flying from OKC to CPH on January 28th for business. When I search for flights on delta.com (or Google Flights or Skyscanner), it doesn't find any results. And not only for the 28th but several days around it.

But when I look on Air France's and KLM's websites, there's a reasonable itinerary at a market-competitive price. Upon further investigation on Delta's website, the flight that AF and KL are using that Delta isn't is the CDG-CPH (AF) or AMS-CPH (KL) leg. Is Delta no longer doing code shares with AF and KL for some flights? Is this a weird bug?

I'd prefer to book with Delta for ease (and a better website, imo) but I need to book soon. What's going on here? Thanks for your help!

Could you be a bit more specific.

What itinerary are you finding on DL's website and what are you finding on Air France/KLM's that is better for you?

I did a quick check and see many options on DL's website.

It's when I search round-trip for January 28th departure and February 25th return.

Looking at one-way, Jan. 28th is fine on Delta. It's the Feb. 25th that shows no options for CPH to OKC so it appears that's where my problem is.

AF shows 10+ options with different connections and durations on February 25th. Example itinerary:
KL 1128 - CPH to AMS
KL 6019 - AMS to DTW
KL 5250 - DTW to OKC

Weird. Searching one-way CPH-OKC using the 5-week flexible search indeed has a black hole as shown below.

Same problem does not occur for CPH-ATL. My first guess without digging deeper is that slightly different scheduling means there is no legal connection during those weeks (or maybe just not one DL.com wants to find?)

Try calling DL. Give the agent the flight numbers or flight times you prefer and ask if they can ticket the itinerary.

I noticed a day or two ago that something is messed up with DL connections to ARN, too. Only the awful KLM flight (I greatly dislike red eyes that arrive in the destination city before my departure city bed time, and KL 656 will be departing here at the uncivilized hour of 2:50pm) from MSP connects to flights to ARN next fall.

I don't know what the problem is (ummm, I.T. dept!), but I can't imagine DL has given up on connecting their two later DL metal flights to AMS to get one to CPH or ARN.

I have a 12 yr old son, living with my exwife in CPH. I go there every 2 months to see him for a week. I looked today for Feb 13-19, using the 5 week flexible day window and I kept getting "Sorry we have no flights that match your request". I am in CPH right now, I fly back in 2 days... but my Feb trip seems to be in jeopardy.

The flights still exist, it's just the DL has apparently zero'd out inventory on double connections through AMS to many US cities for these dates. If you search out of the gateway cities such DTW, MSP, ATL, JFK, SLC, etc. with non-stop service to AMS, you will see the flights are still there and bookable. It's when you try to add-on the extra hop in the US that there is no inventory open -- married segment logic at play. There does seem to be a bit of inventory bookable on DL for the KL AMS-JFK flight which can be used to get to places like PIT, IND, CVG that have flights from JFK. Maybe when DL rev mgmt gets back from their 3 day weekend tomorrow they will open some inventory up for these dates.
