Six for six this week. All but one cleared at window and Friday's cleared last night. Two of the six are trans cons.

The streak continues....I missed one upgrade in 2016....

Where based? And what flights?

Considering the level of 'failure' we see on average, even as a DM, that seems crazy.

PM here.

RDU-LAX-SJC booked for this coming Sunday, it cleared at the window, which greatly surprised me.

So far, 2/2 this year. We'll see how it goes from here.

I need to move out of ATL. I actually, mostly for MQMs, don't fly direct a lot and the 2nd leg I get upgrade a bunch. ATL to almost anywhere though...

Early in 2016 when I was still GM, I had a PDX-ATL-IAD flight. It was a fairly short notice ticket in Y that cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $800. When I logged in to select my seat, I had an FCM offer for around $1200. I looked again a couple of days later & it had gone up to a little over $1300. Yeah. Not happening.

I get to OLCI and it is now $84 for both legs.

That said, as a DM I am almost never seeing offers - but I am getting upgraded 80% of the time anyway, so I don't really miss it.

I'm a proponent of FCM in most cases, but it's completely absurd if those prices are going to non-status passengers. If DL is going to low-ball FCM, they should make those offers to elites first. If no one bites, then kettles can take advantage of it.

Currently an FO.

2017-01-02 DL 0165 MCO-JFK @ 08:25 ~ 944 Miles ~ Upgraded
2017-01-02 DL 4055 JFK-BUF @ 11:33 ~ 500 Miles ~ Upgraded

For DL 0165, I was #6 of 6 on a W fare for 4 seats. Ended up with the upgrade and there were 2 FA's that also got upgraded. My guess is that we had a bunch of people who missed the flight because it was a mess, and I mean a total, utter mess, at MCO yesterday AM. Wait time for Kettles was close to 4 hours - Skypriority line wait time was 1 hr 15 minutes.

For DL 4055 I was #4 of 4 on a W fare for 6 seats. I made the upgrade and 1 seat went out open in first. No NRSA's that I could tell but certainly could have been.

I flew back from Florida to NYC last evening. When I booked the flight, F was pretty wide open but it then started filling quickly. For the past many weeks, there were only three seats left and DL was consistently offering me a $1114 (!) upgrade. So I resigned myself early to no upgrade.

Checked in on my phone and the 3 seats were still there and shockingly I was #1 on the list. (I got a $169 FCM offer at check-in but declined). About 90 minutes before the flight, was down to 1 seat in F so a couple of people FCM'ed. Lo and behold, I cleared into that final seat at the gate as a PM. Unexpected upgrade success that one was.

BOS-ATL on 1/9

Didn't clear at window (T-6 at 5 p.m. ATL time)

DID clear at some point between 5 p.m. T-6 and 2 a.m. T-5

Not sure if this is because it cleared into OU/was marked "business" and/or if it's new for some flights to clear after midnight ET. Other flights the same day cleared around 5 p.m. T-6.
