Hot food in F on E170/E175's?

Hi-

I'll be getting a dinner and lunch service on E170/175 equipment soon, United Express does not have ovens on their E170/175 equipment so all the First Class food options are cold. I was wondering if Delta Connection does? Cold food is fine it's just a 2.0 flight surprised that there is a meal service at all, I guess customer service really is a goal for US legacy airlines again.

Thanks,

Paul

Everything I have ever eaten on an E170/175 has been cold.

Definitely cold food. Eat something ahead of time.

A lot of the CRJ900s have ovens now, but the E-jets sadly don't.

I had a hot meal (meatballs) on an E175 flown by Endeavor a couple of weeks ago.

Is this common for the 170/175's? Come to think of it I don't think UA or AA's have ovens either.

Endeavor doesn't fly any E-Jets. They're an all-Bombardier airline.

E-Jets are flown (at Delta) by Compass and Shuttle America.

I had a rather nice hot Asian shrimp/noodle dish on board a DL shuttle flight from SFO to SEA early November this year. I believe that was a Compass E-175...

Ah, might have been compass. Flight details definitely said E-175. The plane had no closet. CRJ-900 the week before had a closet, and I know that one was Endeavor. Same meal on both flights. RDU-MSP

SkyWest has the E75 now, too. More on the way for Delta Connection.

A lot of the CP E175s do not have a closet. OTOH, the E170s do have closets.

The OO E175s are nice and have more C+ seats than the CP E175s and they do have a closet. I really like the OO E175s.

FWIW, flew DFW-->LAX on an E175 (operated by Endeavor, IIRC) in F a couple months ago and was served a hot meal.

I had some hot (hamburger) sliders in F on a Compass E175 YVR-MSP earlier this year. I feel like they might have little heat warming boxes like a little heater that keeps things warm, not a full fledged oven, I was impressed.

Pretty sure I've had hot food on an E-175. Been a year or more, so I forget the details.

I have had a few hot meals on CP E175s on the west coast, but not frequent enough that I would go into the flight expecting a hot meal.
