Pretty Clear why Delta don't care about FT

WOW

Just read all 4 pages of FT's year end totals. The MQD's on average are really low. It is no wonder Delta see FT folks as not a key customer segment to appeal to.

There must be 10 folks with Platinum status in 2017 who have spent less than the cost of one RT TATL in J

Are you talking about me (PM for 2017) with MQD of $3,594?

My MQD's last year as a Platinum (before I got the Delta AMEX) were more than they are this year as a Diamond (after getting the Delta AMEX and meeting the min spend).

This should be titled "Delta cares more about Amex spend than flying"

Ignoring the unsupported major premise in your statement, it would help if you link to whatever you're talking about. Why would anyone presume whatever numbers you refer to, to be (a) accurate or (b) useful?

This also ignores the fact that the FT members are the ones that many travelers look to for advice on their own travel. We might be cheap .......s, but we are fine with spending other peoples money on travel.

All generalizations are incorrect... include this one (and the OP's).

About 25% of those posts sharing data claimed MQDs right at or above 25K.

Since I am above 25K, I could add another data point if I wanted to bother to do so.

I don't regard 25K to be too shabby.

Posts like the OP's always remind me of:

Also remember that flights on SkyTeam members without a 006 ticket number do not count for MQDs but do count for MQMs. As I spend $25K+ on AmEx I do not worry about MQDs and typically book overseas flights with other SkyTeam members as at least some of them tend to be less stingy with their miles than Delta is these days.

I got MQDs for my AM flight in C last year to EZE. In fact, I got way more than the $1450 I spent on the flight.

This is incorrect. You do indeed get MQD, in fact more MQD then what you would get if you bought on 006 stock. I book VS tickets for my yearly trip LAX-LHR-JNB RT. It would net only about $2000 if booked on 006 stock. Booking on VS stock I net around $7-8k.
