Delta.com Purchase Not Going Through
 
Been trying to book online at Delta.com with no success. This issue just started a month or so ago, and has continued since then. It doesn't matter what route or segment I select. I get through the entire booking process then hit "Pay" and this error is returned:

We're sorry, Rob. We are unable to process your request. Please call the SkyMiles Diamond Medallion line at 877-220-6888 for assistance. Customers outside of the 50 United States should contact the Delta Reservations Sales office for their country. #101727R

I have tried a different credit card, changing my password, and every browser known to man. I can log in as my wife on the SAME LAPTOP and the transaction goes through successfully.

I am, however, able to use my iOS app to buy tickets. This issue is solely on the web site. Has anyone else experienced something like this? Any help is appreciated!

Yes--just last night with a pay with miles ticket. And the solution was to follow the instructions and call Delta.

I did call Delta. And their solution was to book it for me. However, calling Delta every time I want to book a flight is not convenient. They connected me to "online support" and I was told they had no idea what the problem was. Seems odd it would just start like that. I've attempted a dozen transactions and the same error comes back each time.

Ironically, I usually book my flights on Delta while ON Delta flights (GoGo Wi-Fi), so calling isn't an option.

There are probably a lot of reasons for this to happen but I was getting this error the other week when buying multiple tickets and applying pay with miles. My issue was the purchase of the second ticket was allowing me to apply more miles than I actually had. The system that was calculating how many miles I had available when ordering the ticket was out of sync with my actual current mile balance. In my case I could manually select less miles to apply and then it went through. But if the system is out of sync and you actually have the miles you may just have to call if you are also trying to "Pay" with miles.

I am using the CC on my account, the Delta Platinum AMEX. Not a miles purchase. And only purchasing one ticket. Just trying to see if someone has had the same issue.

I'm planning to call back and get a new tech support person. It's hit or miss with getting the good ones. For example, a while back, when calling the Medallion number, it started to prompt me for my Skymiles number rather than saying "Hello Rob." Agent had no clue. Second agent had no clue. I called back a few days later (to book since the web site wasn't working) and the agent asked if I had an account for a minor and the same phone number listed for him or her. I did. Removed that number and now it works fine when I call.

Are you using GoGo's paid service, or trying to use the free service where DL.com access is free? If using GoGo's paid service, then I have no idea what the problem might be, but if trying to use the free GoGo service, part of the DL web site might be being blocked by GoGo's paywall.

Did you try clearing your computer's CACHE? It may be storing some information that is confusing delta.com

Hi There!

Yesterday I got something similar. I was purchasing a flight to the USA and after doing the payment (using a bank transfer) the page went back to where it was giving an error without proceeding to the step 3 - confirmation.

The money was taken from the bank (I got the bank receipt), but no email or anything from Delta.

I tried calling Delta, but it was unable to conclude, or to have the guarantee to have my money back.

Can someone help with some kind of information?
