Delta 1 A330/200 vs. 767-200

What are the differences in the Delta1 seats on the A330/200 vs. the 767-300er?

Thanks

People generally like the A330 better (assuming you mean the 767-300ER, there are no more 767-200s flying for Delta). The 767 seats, for some, can feel cramped especially in the footwell. Also, for solo travelers the A330 has seats angled towards the windows which offers some better privacy.

A somewhat current thread on the subject:

I assume -200 is a typo, but the 767 seat is a bit narrower at the seat (and when in bed mode) and has a smaller footwell. It faces straight forward, while the A330 is angled in a reverse herringbone layout. I would say the A330 is better in pretty much all respects.

I prefer the 767 for daytime flights because of the console. The A330 is worlds better for sleeping.

The exception to the above comments is if you can get 1A/D on the 763. I recently went to/from GRU on the A33 and 763 respectively, and as a tall guy (6'4) I actually found the 767 to have more room when the seat was fully reclined.

B and C are also nice for couples, as they also have the much larger footwell.

To me, in addition to seeming narrow, the 767 seats are uncomfortably hard when used as a bed. It helps a bit to sleep on top of a duvet used as a mattress pad, but I can't get comfortable and try to avoid this aircraft when I have a choice.

It's also annoying that you basically must put the seat into close to its fully upright position, with the leg rest lowered, to get into and out of the seat. You cannot easily
swing your legs around and get into and out of the bed mode. I'm sure there are Cirque de Soleil types who will disagree.

I personally like the 763 as I like seat 1A, and meals start from the front on the 763, as opposed to the back on the A330. I also hate the gate that blocks the business class bathroom on the A330. Just a personal preference.

I would agree that the A330 is better for sleeping. It is just a more comfortable experience in that regard.

However, the 767 is a better experience for couples. I like the wide armrest and the lack of an angled seat in the center section. However, the narrower seat makes it a bit less comfortable for sleep.

I am actually happy with either plane to be honest. Compared to what we had 10-15 years ago, it's worlds better.

I don't think there is any difference with the seat between the A330-200 and A330-300, is there? They seem the same to me. I find the angle on the 330 a little annoying when sitting in the middle. I feel like I spent a good portion of the flight staring right into my neighbor; on the 763 and 764 (for which I have most of my D1 experience) you do have some relative privacy when in the middle section.

Another vote for the A330-300 over the 767anything. The A330 seats are the better product by far.

Agree with the other comments about the narrow seat and small footwells on the 767. I'm not a large guy at all and I find these seats almost claustrophobic when fully reclined.

I've taken many 767 D1 flights over the past two months. I have always been in row 1, and always been comfortable...there seems to be more room. I'm not small - 6'1, 220 and fit in the 767 seat just fine.

I'm happy with both too and think the 767 has some nice qualities. But I do think the A330 is, on the whole, better.

I don't think there is any doubt that the A330 is better but the 763 is perfectly acceptable.

This. If choosing between these two aircraft, pick the one that is selling a cheaper fare or better schedule.
