Internet Access in Delta SkyClubs
I'm starting a new post to get past the T-Mobile threads.
Access has definitely gotten better since the T-Mobile days, but still seems to fall short of what I would expect at even a typical fast-food establishment. 95% of the time, I have no problem getting online, which makes the 5% particularly frustrating.
One of my big frustrations -- and I'm writing here to see whether others have experienced it and can recommend a work-around -- is the non-seamlessness of the Wi-Fi. When I go home, to work, to Starbucks, etc., my wi-fi automatically adjusts to the new setting and I am on without having to jump through too many hoops. Not so at SkyClubs. What's worse -- often, my cellphone auto-connects to the SkyClub, but gives me no connectivity. To get any online access, I have to exit the SkyClub, turn my wi-fi off, and then reconnect either through my cell service or through the MSP wi-fi -- basically, everything worked EXCEPT the Delta SkyClub. Doing the same thing inside the SkyClub didn't work. But when I used my laptop to access SkyClub wi-fi later, I got in just fine.
Any suggestions?

Pull up your phone's browser and try to navigate to a website. It will intercept you and take you to the login screen. Works best if you try to navigate to a website you haven't visited recently, so there is no DNS caching.

I believe most of them have a password now. Have no problems getting on with my Samsung S5. Use google chrome to authenticate at the splash page. It generally works better if you go to a website that doesn't use https.

My impression has been that then same password works throughout USA SCs and it is changed much less frequently than once a month.
The last time I had a problem was during the August DL meltdown.

It's been depending on the club either godelta or firstclass at every domestic club I've been to for last three months.

When you open the browser, you need to navigate to a site you haven't recently visited. That's because a lot of times the ones you've been to have been cached and it's not looking around. Go to something new, say "abc.com" and then it will for sure intercept you and give you the login screen.

Did they finally put a password on the wifi at all of the skyclubs?
Last time I was in ATL, you could sit next to the old B Skyclubs and poach their wifi ah pre unlimited data days.
One trick to get a landing log in page is to always use Internet explorer to log in. (Or edge..) typically when I use chrome on a pc it wont get onto the page.
For a mac, Safari will do the same, typically on ios/android/chrome os the landing page pops up but sometimes you have some bugs.
