no, and it's not even close.

Domestic 767 is the worst F experience in the fleet.

I don't recall- at the bulkhead, does the 1A/B side have slightly more legroom than the 1C/D side?

My vague recollection is that the closet on the A/B side is slightly more forward than the wall of the galley in front of 1C/D. We're stuck with the options of 1A/B or 1C/D unless we can SDC to something better...

Yes. The A/B side has a cutout, where as the C/D side iirc does not.

I can confirm this.

However, IIRC the C/D side is just slightly (maybe 1-2 inches) further away from the wall than the A/B side.

I actually prefer it. I'm a smaller-size person (5'6" on a good day, size 8.5 shoes), and on the C/D side I can stretch my legs out and rest on my heels or cross my ankles, with the toes of my shoes pointed up and resting on the bottom of the bulkhead. On the A/B side, the wall is that much closer that I can't do that - I can put my feet flat on the floor and use the cutout, yes, but for whatever reason that's not how I naturally/comfortably come to rest.

Bulkhead on the 738 is brutal. Avoid at all costs.

I actually disagree on the comfort of the 738 first class seat. It's the previous generation first class seat - and I find it more soft and inviting than the new, slimmer Recaro seat on the 739.

However the reconfigured 738's have less recline than previously and I swear that the legroom is slightly tighter.

As a veteran flyer of both DL and AA (have been DM and EXP for many years, simultaneously), I will state my own points:

Most of DL's seat configs in F, be it an MD-80, 737-900, or 767 are poor in seat pitch and allow too much recline into the row behind. The worst of these are the old MD 90's, which DL will probably fly well past the day I die.

They simply allow too much recline into the row behind, coupled with lousy pitch to begin with. Compare this to AA's F seat config where, if the pax wants to reline, the pax give away room unto the seat in front of him/her, by simply sliding forward toward the seat in front of him/her. I'm totally OK with that.

I have had two recent TPA-LAX fights on MD 90's where I was in the Shakespeare seat with my wife next to me. These big guys in front of us reclined to the fullest for the duration of the flights, and it was just plain miserable. So now I suck it up and take the bulkhead on nearly all DL flights in F, even with the cramped feeling for my feet that has been described by others.

DL somehow crams too many seats into F, regardless of the aircraft. And yes, there will never be anything redeeming about a 767, for anything, IMHO.

So, the 757, of which DL still flies many, is my preferred aircraft across the country in F, especially on the SFO-JFK route, which I fly frequently.

AA's 737's, with their reclining from behind into the seat in front, instead of into the seat behind, are a superior choice over DL's. I took AA's 737's last weekend, though, TPA-DFW-SJC, and my wife and I remarked about how much bulkhead room there was in F.

UA's 737's somehow seem to allow too much recline on F seats for my comfort as well (comfort in the seat being reclined into). Not quite as bad as DL's. Reclines, particularly in F seats, can be more significant that some consider, although the contrarians will undoubtedly come out of the woodwork and call it whining. But when one can't get out of the window seat to the bathroom without pummeling the seat in front for egress (no malice intended) things are not that easy.

Whenever my wife and I even consider reclining into the seat behind (in F), we ask if everything is OK from the behind pax and never do it during meal services.

Sorry about the length, but I've been wanting to say this stuff for some time

Comfort wise, I like the 738 seats (second to the old 757 seats). Usually take 4B

Unfortunately I'm 6'4" w/size 13 shoes. So maybe the A/B side of the bulkhead would be better in my case.
