100,000+miles or more in coach in one year?

I have been blessed in life to fly in the front most of the time but I was wondering has anybody ever flown over a 100,000 miles or more in coach in one year? If so, did you need a chiropractor and/or psychologist at the end of the year? To me anybody who has flown coach that much in a yr is a true "road warrior".

I don't have my log at hand right now, but I'm sure that most of my 131 segments in 2007 were in the back of the bus ... I didn't hit Gold on either CO or DL until late in the year, and I know full well that 30 early segments were solely to get status on AA in order to select decent coach seats for the IAD-LAX-KOA/HNL-LAX-DFW-IAD award trip

probably not 100k, but 75-80k isn't beyond the realm of possibility

Simple answer is - - - Heck yeah!

The last coupl'a years, since becoming DM (in the 2nd year it was offered), UGs have been pretty decent - maybe 90%, but, back in the days before GUCs existed, I had RARELY flown in F/J! (domerstic F now n' then) Now, with GUCs . . . . Once you've been bitten by the TATL/TPAC "J Flat Bed bug", I can't imagine going back! I'm also less frugal with redeeming miles for int'l J travel, since I hava HUGE account balance built up!

Damn....that's only 4 trips to JNB via LHR/AMS/CDG.

I did 3 in February alone.

I finished 2014 with about 170K BIS miles and most were in Y.

I'm insane as they were all MRs/mini vacations.

Dave....my last international leg was LHR-PHX.....in true First Class on BA 2 weeks ago.

I was able to UG a $1,600 RT US-EU J fare to FC for a paltry 22,000 BA Avios (miles)......

Now I'm wanting to cry about my upcoming trip to Ibiza in J on the BA A380 because it's only BUSINESS CLASS

I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!!!!

(Next trip in FC is AN AA award ticket BKK-HKG-LAX on Cathay Pacific in January and I CANNOT WAITTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!:-::-::-::-::-)

It's going to be hard to come back to DL in 2017 after experiencing real FC with One World this year!!!!!!

That's a ton if these are all leisure trips! How long are your turns? Do you make it a long weekend or head straight back?

Lots and lots of people I'm sure. I average about 100k a year, mostly in coach.

To me the real road warriors are the ones doing 100 or more segments.

Average about 75k-85k a year in Y. Just enough to clear PM with a little rollover. These are usually done through 2-3 stops a year with stops. A 'long' trip might be 50k in 10 days.

Anybody that is close to 100000 miles is Y is impressive. I dont think I could or would want to do it. And I agree 100 domestic segments may even be more brutal. I have nightmares thinking what if 50 of those 100 segments were on a crj 200.

Qualified in 2012 I think for 1K on United via 120 segments. It was brutal - was doing basically weekly ORD - CMH turns. Ended up flying home with an extra stop in DCA each way for Christmas (back when US still credited to UA) to get 100 and 101.

Was much better the following year when I was doing weekly IAD - LAS and IAD - LAX runs

Impressive. Made platinum for two years running on Y BIS miles - traveling from LIT to Europe once or twice a month regularly. New job and I no longer travel in Y... ahhh...
