DL -> WS connection at DFW

DL -> WS connection at DFW
Does anyone have any experience with connecting from DL (arriving) to WestJet (departing) at DFW? Official layout says they're both in E, but I thought that terminal was under construction.
Seems a good price on short notice, best layover possibilities, but making sure 90 minutes is doable, or is there some odd rigmarole? Will probably not check a bag.
Also, has DL given MQD and MQS for Delta-issued tickets on WS-metal with Delta flight numbers? The miles or MQD don't mean as much to me as the segment(s) do.
