Baggage question

Super basic question here, as I don't think the delta site is clear enough.

I am a Virgin Atlantic silver member, as well as BA Executive Club member too.

Am I right in saying, that the main cabin on Delta requires you paying for baggage and First does not? This is on a domestic flight.

Also, how do those baggage prices work with multi-city bookings? Is the cost per bag segment based or for the whole booking? I want to do LAS>LAX then a few days later do LAX>SFO then another few days later SJC>LAS but all as one booking. What would the checked baggage price end up at?

Thanks in advance.

Yes on coach vs. first.

Price is not by segment, but by ticketed destination.

LAS-LAX (stopover) fee

LAX-SFO (stopover) fee

SJC-LAS fee

If you book the domestic segments as part of an international ticket (say LGW-LAS, LAS-LAX, LAX-SFO, SJC-LAS, LAS-LGW), U.S. Department of Transportation 'single ticket, single allowance' rules mean you get x free bags on the domestic segments as you would for international standard allowance. Watch what that does to fare, though.

Thanks 3CForme.

So it would be $25 for the first bag, $35 for the second - making $60x3=$180 in baggage fees for main cabin, yeah?

Yes. Watch out for oversized bags and overweight bags because those fees will be additive to the 1st or 2nd bag fee.
