Raising Funds to Fight Cancer - 2016 Edition - And Sky Priority?
Hello fellow DL FFers!
Some of you have followed my ongoing efforts to raise funds for Children with Cancer. In the past few years, I've known numerous folks affected by (FLIPPING!) cancer - children, close friends, one of my family's cats, etc. Simply put, it frustrates me to see cancer tear people up. As a former teacher, I really hate to see it in children who have their lives ahead of them.
In 2015, I committed to both the London and Paris marathons to support this cause. So far, fellow frequent flyers, friends, family, and ebay sales have helped me raise over Ł1,092.54.
At the expo, my DL status helped me...when I saw the Sky Priority sign for security, I asked if being a DL PM helped and they said, "Of course..." lol
The wheels fell off during the race in Paris this past Sunday - sometimes we have to take some lumps before pushing forward. And this was like being bludgeoned.
That said, London is in 19 days. If you'd like to follow the rest of this year's journey, please see 2016 Fight Against Cancer - Paris and London Marathons
I'm looking forward to London and tackling this challenge. Thank you for your continued support!!

From this side of the pond, thanks rwoman for your work on this! I have a son who was diagnosed with leukemia 12 years ago, and after 3 1/2 years of daily chemotherapy, is doing great. So, it's a great cause you are running to help.

Long tights might work early, but as it gets warm, you can't, um, easily and readily take them off

Hi all! Have posted a "not dead and survived" update in the main FT Cares forum.
But wanted to ensure this pic made it here:
Floyd, Cousin Steve, and Shaun the Sheep... Steve and Shaun belong to my sister and were supposed to go home with her yesterday...however, with me going to JNB this weekend, they're off to South Africa instead.
Thank you all again for your continued support!!
