Authoritatively ID CRJ bulkhead position?
Hi all,
Is there any good/authoritative way to identify between the various forward bulkhead (in front of row 1) positions in the CRJs, especially the smaller models? (90 minutes with full legroom is quite pleasant, 90 minutes with limited legroom quite the opposite). DL.com, Seatguru and Seatmaestro all seem unable to accurately predict what occurs on any given flight. (As always, please let me know if I'm missing the obvious or there is an existing thread which answers etc). TIA, Ken (NOTE: this may or may not apply to other regional craft, as well) |
I'm not quite sure what you're asking. If you want to know which F seats on a CRJ are bulkhead, it would be any F seat without another seat in front of it.
If you're asking about the seats behind the F cabin, no DL CRJs have a hard wall at the bulkhead, so they all have lots of leg room. If you get B, there is no seat in front of you and everyone will hit you with their luggage while boarding. :p |

I'm referring to the position of, and occasional lack of, a bulkhead in front of row 1 (will edit). It may be possible to determine from comparing the seat layout on delta.com to maps on seatguru/seatmaestro, but I'm medium sure that has failed me in the past.

All CRJ F bulkhead seats have a wall in front. I suspected the same might be the same on -700s given the note on Seatguru, but will assume that there's a bulkhead at 1A except when it's a 175 (which raises the question of being sure when... etc). 1A is my preferred position on -900, but while there does seem to be some bulkhead position variance, I've never seen no bulkhead there. |

I think you mean that there's no bulkhead on the boarding side. Instead 1A can stand up and turn left and exit. The only time I've been on a RJ with no bulkhead there is when it's an ERJ175. I think CRJ900/700 have bulkheads in front of 1A.

On all the little partner airlines? I was on a -200 that didn't in December, and I thought in January, then hit one that I thought would have a bulkhead but did in February. Has there been a change?

DL has no F seats in a 200. A 175 is a regional jet, but not a CRJ.
