44A in 77L
 

Slated to fly SEA -> HKG on April 13.

44A was empty after booking. I've never flown DL on a 777 so not sure of the best seat options. 44C and the other isle options are all taken.

I see on seatguru that 44A is a 'red' option. I don't care about a window, but is the seat uncomfortable because the emergency exit protrudes into the space?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Mrs. P and I had 44G/H on an AMS-DTW flight a couple years ago. From what I could tell, the exit slide really protruded into 44J's space. Even still, that might be better than the other options. I guess it really depends on how much space 44B takes up.

Are you still PM? You should get free C+. Are they all taken as well?

The only remaining C+ are middles - so I figured I'd check my options farther back the plane :)

44A/K are my favorite seats on the 777. I'm 6 feet, and the exit door doesn't affect me much. Seatguru is wrong as usual.

I am 6'1, and have no problem with 44a. I prefer to sleep against the wall when in steerage and find the room there better than c+

I'm a big fan of the 44A and 44J seats on those planes. I've never found the protruding exit door a problem - I still get a wall to lean against and don't have to bother my neighbors when getting up. And the bathroom is right there (pluses and minuses to that obviously) Be careful as the 44 D-E-F seats typically have a bassinet fixture for infants on the wall in front of the seats.
