$9 MQD's short...do I make it?
Hi all...I'm $9 short of Gold for next year (miles are ok). What's DL's grace amount? Is there any? Anyone know of a $20 RT from LA?

Otherwise, if it really matters, take the cheapest shortest flight you can find!

I was 18 MQM short a few years back, called and asked a couple different departments and was told, without question, there was no wiggle room on the minimums. I wound up purchasing the minimum number of MQM one could purchase.

PFFT, I'm 1k miles short of gold after a trip next month, so I am doing a MR from TPA-ATL back the same day, LOL. $200 hamburger here I come! I'll be at ATL for 3 hrs. I don't know what's come over me? Gold seems like it is much better than FO so there I go.

Last year I might have rolled over, but I need one more year of Gold (Elite Plus) with Delta while I move over to Flying Blue. Delta has really jacked up the prices on my normal LAX-BKK route (at least for my JAN trip), and working for a non-profit, I can't justify the increase with the powers that be. Flying Blue will get me to status without the MQD's.

Yep! Try ITA Matrix and search LAX to a bunch of different places, and use the code "dl" for non-stops.
Try OAK, Sacramento, Fresno, Las Vegas. Anywhere close that's not a hub. MAYBE you'd get lucky with SLC but not likely. I bet 100 is the lowest you might find.
