Qantas Chairman's Lounge level?
The Chairman’s Lounge is aptly named: the Chairman of Qantas, Leigh Clifford, personally signs off on each membership application, which lasts for two years. |

The first rule of 360 is that you don't talk about 360.
Or so I've been told. All I know is that so far this year, I have been upgraded on 12 domestic segments (all award tickets) but traveling alone. I seem to recall something about companions also getting bumped to the top of the list, but have not been able to confirm. And I have had many reticketing fees waived. Yes, I had to pay the $450, but had the "change in fare class" waived for over $3,000. Also there is a special phone line. Best operators in the system. Case in point: I was traveling with a friend the other day who has 360. We were both on Q fares but I had purchased the ticket a week earlier. I was one spot above him on the upgrade list. |

You're misinformed on the upgrade priority. 360 members do not get preferred upgrade priority to general DMs, nor do their companions.

Fairly OT, but as an AA EXP who is contemplating a switch to DL, I'm pretty alarmed to see 1. upgrade priority over lower-tiers (which apparently doesn't exist) and 2. a dedicated phone support line for a super-elite level being discussed as major benefits. Unfortunately, my business travels are increasingly taking me to ATL, and AA fares seem less and less competitive.
With 360 you get proactive IRROPS monitoring and re-booking and a dedicated support line. The benefits of DM over lower tiers are primarily:

Since an EXP on AA is between DM and PM on DL, you should be glad if 360s don't have upgrade priority over DMs, at least if you're able to reach DM on DL.
Thanks for the quick rundown of DM benefits. As much as I appreciate this:

And it seems the dedicated phone support line actually allows the agents to "bend the rules" on a somewhat regular basis. |
One thing I noticed this year that bears on the exclusivity point is that MQM earning rates are different. Full F/J carries a 200% multiplier, where as at United it is only 150%. So I'll end up with about 110k PQM on UA and similar amount on DL, even though I've flown less on the latter. Doesn't fully close the gap, but for many it will.

DL also has an internal VIP list. Although it has nothing to do with status and from what I'm told only comes into play for IROPS.

Just curious. Does any other airline have a level for 125,000 miles? I don't recall seeing one but have only researched it a little. If not that would make Diamond the most exclusive level in the industry.
Thanks. |
I also seem to recall that my digital SkyClub Card does say "Executive" on it.

Not my experience. And not what the letter I received said. All of my award tickets were upgraded so far this year, and at the window opening.
Last I checked an award ticket is lower priority than a Q fare. I'd like to see proof that 360 has a higher upgrade priority because both officially and in my own experience, it's not true. |

I'm not sure what you're getting at here. An award ticket is lower than a Q fare, but you weren't on my flight. If you had been, I'm confident you would have been sitting in the back since everybody who got upgraded was a DM on a paid fare.
