I just looked at my GUC T&Cs and there isn't anything mentioned about connection limits. It says that stopovers are governed by the fare rules so if the fare rule allows it without a break, then the GUC should also.

I've heard people say that GUCs were limited to three or four flights (per direction).
I know that they're supposed to cover an entire fare component, so stopovers are OK if the fare rules allow them, but broken fares should require additional GUCs/RUCs.
