Six hour flight yesterday and no running water... really gross!! Also, on second service, no coffee or tea available. Doesnít seem like this is ok. We flew out of SEA so should/could have been fixed?!

Let's see if a Delta pilot jumps in and indicates if running water is on the 738 minimum equipment list.

Earlier this month I was on a longhaul DL flight that was delayed due to water problems. At the gate, I noticed that the toilet didn't flush with much enthusiasm. Announcements said that the problem (and why we returned to the gate but fortunately did not need to deplane) was the water pressure.

Not a pilot but a FA. I donít think potable water is on the MEL because we have a procedure in our handbooks (special PA and extra sani wipes boarded for the lavs) sounds like the FAs followed procedure in this instance. Also, as someone pointed out, the flushing systems are separate from the potable water systems.

Not normal and not something that should happen but technically allowed as there is apparently no obligation to provide running water on a flight.
Had to deal with this on KL LAX-AMS a few months ago. No coffee/tea or working sinks (no wipes provided either) for approximately 10 hours
Water system was broken before we even left the gate but not acknowledged by the crew until we were already in the air

There should have been wipes. Health and safety regulations for food require a way to sanitize hands.
