1. Many employers (or their corporate TA's) are equipped to accept two CC's for a ticket. One would be a personal card. In this situation, the F ticket is direct-issued and the cost is split between the Y fare to the corporate card and the supplement to the employee's personal card. It's easily done, so a good discussion point with an employer.
2. When clients are billed for travel, there is generally a notes section in the billing software. That should explain the discrepancy. E.g., ticket is invoiced at $900 and receipt is for $1,000, would include a note, "$1,000 ticket purchase includes Y fare of $900 and $100 UG paid personally by traveler."
3. If BP's are still required, that's simply an anachronism which dates back to a time when BP's meant something. Now, they prove nothing. Time to speak with employer / client.

Ah... there are advantages to being beyond the clutches of ludicrous corporate travel systems. ^

Well, I was going to be happy with my exit row seats but when I went to book, I entered my AS MVPG 75K # and went to the seatmap. All exit row seats are now filled. Odd.
I go to the Delta App on my phone, search the same flights on the same dates, look at that, exit rows are empty.
May just go and book with UA after all.

All agents should waive the change fee when upgrading from Main Cabin to Premium Cabin. I can't say if it's an actual policy, but it's either taught or highly encouraged by every res and ticketing agent that I personally know.
I've never known an agent to charge a change fee to fill up a first class seat.
Just the fare difference.

I would call DL and ask for those seats, I think you should be able to get to them. FYI, for both the CRJ900 and the A320, the bulk head seats are preferred by many as there is no bulkhead wall and you have under seat storage under the first class seats, and in both cases, great leg room.

I'm not sure if AS elites still get DL preferred seat selection at time of booking ... and from what I see on the AS board, DL elites don't get 'em any more on AS (posts 42 & 43)
yes, row 4 on the A319/320 is "F-lite" for leg room

I've done this before and had no problems but it was because 1. I used company's travel agency and 2. Corporate card. I just paid for the difference on my own card. My company also doesn't required boarding passes.

This is the only way I fly DL.
1. Pay with corporate card
2. Wait a few minutes and upgrade online (or call) with a personal card
I don't know if the ticket # changes.
AS MVP75K does not get access to EC (which would be bulkhead), but there should be no problem accessing Preferred seats, including exit row.
