Will delta check luggage through mix ST ticket?
Booked DL award tix to catch a connecting flight on KLM.
Traveling with kids and would LOVE it if I didnt have to worry about rechecking a ton of luggage.
Anyone know a sure fire way or the magic words to get the folks at checkin to check my luggage all the way through to our destination?

Just bring a copy of your KL itinerary and they'll check it all the way through. Make sure to pay any bag fees ahead of time, or KL may leave them in AMS. T
That nearly happened to me transferring from DL to EI on separate itins. DL printed bag tag JFK-LHR-DUB. Got to LHR and checked with EI desk. The agent said I had to pay a fee or they would have left them in LHR.

And how would EI bag handlers even know if you paid for it. Assume they can scan and see, EI handlers might scan before you reach a desk to pay for it. I surely don't think they will find and remove your bags before the flight departs because you didn't pay.
Not trying to make a point here just throwing my thoughts in about the possible scenarios.
