What to do with 3,114 Delta Skymiles?
My friend has 3,114 Delta skymiles that will be expiring soon. What are his best options? He is part of the One World and Star Alliance. He flies mostly CX and AA. He's also a Marriott member and can accrue Asia/CX miles via Marriott.
What do you recommend? Should he try to roll them over to Marriott? Or can he sell them or donate them? Or he can always join Delta and become a part of the Skyteam alliance (I'm a bit biased since I love Delta - Diamond Medallion).
Thanks for your time and looking forward to your replies.

Miles Don't Expire
Just like before, your existing miles and any earned going forward will not expire.

Delta Skymiles does have a Market Place, but I couldnt find anything cheaper than 4,900 miles. What a rip off. Check for yourself

Within the past couple of weeks, I received a similar solicitation via postal mail for an account of a frequent flier loyalty program of a different airline which I knew the miles would not expire for at least a year — and it attempted to convince me to use those miles on magazine subscriptions.
Your friend has nothing about which to worry...

As this is a DL specific topic, we'll relocate this thread over there.
I'd keep trying to build the miles myself. Never know when you might end up on a Skyteam carrier for a hop somewhere.

OP as a DM should know better that DL miles don't expire.
Your friend either is a victim of some scam or got confused. I recommend that he double check the letter.
On a side note, it might be some promotional voucher or chits that must be redeemed. If that is the case, just add it to a SM account. And let us know how one can obtain such as 3,114 miles credit
