Honestly, if you are leaving from TUL, I'd consider connecting to Singapore Airlines in Houston. They fly to Domodedovo, not SVO, but I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a better business class experience. Being that UA is Star and has the hub in IAH, I would imagine there are numerous connections. SQ beats DL hands-down, EVERY time.

I disagree. The 777 looks to be in a cramped 2-2-2 configuration. Nothing worse then having someone climb over you and waking u up or V/V. The DL 763 is the way to go if you like your own space with no chance of anyone bothering you. Don't forget, you also get the gem Delta T4 skyclub as part of your journey with taking the Delta flight.

A 767's fuselage is 16.6 feet wide; the 777 is almost 3 feet wider at 19.3 - hardly claustrophobic.

And now if you'll excuse me, I'll be outside looking for all the flying pigs.

Well, double connection it is. My company has a 15 hours of flight time policy to get business class. Therefore SQ direct from Houston is out of the question - its too fast. Also, all KLM flights thru AMS are too fast, even with 2 connections.
I got the DL 767 both ways from JFK-SVO, although I kinda want to try the DL 747 or AF 380 on the return, if I get a chance to change my routing. Otherwise next time.

I'd recommend DL or SU metal. You should wind up with a lie-flat seat and, on SU, if you choose an interior seat in J, you will have aisle access as will the person next to you. The last few times I've flown, the pax load in J has been pretty light, although as summer approaches, that will change.
As for the food and service, I prefer 'Flot to DL, at this point. I think you will find them comparable. I use SU for my personal TATLs now b/c the flight to SVO give me time to have dinner watch a movie and get 6 hours of sleep. Also, intra-Europe, SU had legit business class seats. More on why I like flying the 'flot can be found here
Bear in mind that, in most cases (DL 466 being the one exception I can think of) you will be changing terminals at JFK and will have to do so landside, so leave yourself plenty of time.
The T4 SkyClub has been mentioned, but you will also have the option of utilizing the AF and KE clubs in T1. They steer you towards the KE Lounge, but I prefer the AF lounge, as it will have a light pax load at the times you will likely be flying.
In the D Terminal at SVO, you will have access to "Jazz" and "Blues", which are mirror images of each other. There is some warm food in the afternoon (some sort of chicken nugget thing in sauce and some other stuff, as well as soup), and soft drinks and beer (self-serve buffet style). It's like a non-flagship SkyClub, perhaps.
Happy trails,

The SQ flight is 1-2-1 seating in business class, with wide forward facing seats (versus herringbone on DL, except for the staggered seats on the 767s).
IME some of the KLM AMS-SVO flights are the 767. At least in the past, they would sub in a larger aircraft at times, including when they have sold more seats but I've also had empty 767s on this route. However, I can't remember when I last saw this as I sometimes take the DL TATL nonstops to SVO rather than connecting in AMS, especially when the schedules don't coordinate well and require long connections. I don't think I've ever done SVO on AF through CDG, although I generally find that the intraEU flights in business class are better (food, wine, and seat comfort) on AF compared to KLM.

There's also an AZ lounge at JFK T1, but IMO it's inferior to both the KE and AF lounges there. AF has better food and wine, but KE has some good cognac.

Do any of those lounges have self serve bars or is that prohibited in the US?
