I'm kicking the horse, but...............Really DL!
So DL flight 5933, LGA-ORD Friday 3/6.
11, count that 11 FC Seats EMPTY. NOPE, didn't clear 5 days out. But DL, offered me $199 to buy the UG when I just checked in! DL, really, 11 EMPTY seats, and you can't clear your DIA's. I know, dead horse and all that, but this is getting to the point of stupid and ridiculous. |

How many F seats do you think DL can sell on a 7:15AM departure LGA-ORD? Why do you think your estimate is more reliable than DL's?

Again, ridiculous . Love the DL lap dogs though. Oil is cheap, revenue is up. 2 years from now, when oil is high, travel is down, they'll be begging us to fly them, with guaranteed UG's, etc etc etc. |

I'm a GM who has a 75% UG rate on this route, including many Wed/Thurs pm and Sun pm flights. I get that it's frustrating, but i'm sure you'll be up front tomorrow morning.
Would love to know who on that biz heavy route is actually paying $199 for a UG? |

The complaint appears to be not that DL won't give OP a freebie, but that it won't do it sooner rather than later. Who cares? If DL is correct and sells 11 seats for $199+ or however walk-ups (or international connections booked in J), OP has no complaint. If he is handed an F BP as he boards, he also has no complaint.
Neither AA nor UA do this differently. So, not sure what OP wants out of his ship jump. |

I rarely, maybe twice, cleared the UG before the gate. But I still cleared. I sat in F. This isn't a new problem, or really a problem at all, IMHO. If this makes me a "lap dog" so be it. |
