Exit Row Question About Age

I booked seats 20A and 20B C+ exit row for the DL571 flight from ATL to STT in June. When I chose these seats it said "must not be under 15". I know this is self-explanatory, but I would like to know if anyone has had issues with a 15 year old in these seats. My son is 15 (16 in Sept), 5'11", 190lbs and is an offensive lineman on his high school football team. I would think he would be able to handle the responsibilities of an exit row easier than some of the women my age sitting there.

I am asking because if there have been several instances of seat changes because of a 15 1/2 year old I'd rather go ahead and get the row behind this while it's available.

"under 15" doesn't mean "15 or under" ... if your son looks a year or two older the FAs probably won't bat an eye

There's a published rule on age. Fifteen is fine. 14 years 364 days but an athlete is not. It's an FAA rule.
