Where is Delta’s award chart?

I cannot find the mileage award calendar on delta's website. Help! Where is it?

Choose "advanced search" under the large blue "Find Flights" button. Then choose "my dates are flexible (calendar view)" from the Advanced Search page.

I wish they would put the colors back in like in the old award calendar. I know they would have to add a couple of colors but I was booking awards to MSO last year that would show up with both the departure and return in green but when my options came up, the cheapest would be 32,500 many times. Twice when I booked the 32,500 where they were both green, upon checkout, the price would drop to 25,000. I have a feeling this bug still exists but I don't know for sure yet as I haven't booked an award flight yet this year.

Delta’s Award Charts is Gone

I just came across this a few minutes ago.

http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.c...d-charts-gone/

and have confirmed that

https://www.delta.com/content/www/en...ge-charts.html

is gone.

But the award charts seem to be missing? I get a "Page not found" error.

Also, only a few partners listed. Methinks some big changes coming....

Bowgie Feb 6, 2015 12:48 pm

Delta's position in the past has been that mileage increases for award flight are not announced in advance - just like airlines do for revenue flights.

Be afraid. Very afraid.

This would suggest that DL now means to say, when awards price weirdly (like DL domestic + partner international pricing at the domestic price plus the international price, instead of just the US-international price as it always has in the past), the pricing engine is correct, since there is no other authority on what the price "should" be to appeal to.

Not a positive development at all.

For a normal airline, we ask "where are the award seats?" For delta, we ask "where are the award charts?"

akcae Feb 6, 2015 1:17 pm

Hahahaha, cute:

With the launch of the all-new Award calendar, it’s now easy to search for and see prices for Awards online. Search for the price of an Award like you search for airfare today. The expanded search capabilities and calendar at delta.com provide more choices and an easier-to-read and more accurate view of Award prices.
Check out the all-new Award calendar.
Sufficient miles within your SkyMiles account are required to redeem miles toward Award Travel. To shop for Award Travel on delta.com select ‘Book SkyMiles Award Ticket’ when initiating your flight search. Once you’ve selected your itinerary and logged into your SkyMiles account, you’ll be asked to pay for the flights you selected.
In other words, you pay whatever our f'ed up award booking engine comes up with. Charts, what charts?

It should be amply evident by now that VA Ave does not want informed consumers.

Big4Flyer Feb 6, 2015 1:18 pm

I don't see what all the doom and gloom is about and I find it interesting that ThePointsGuy and some other BoardingArea bloggers mention that they think this is the beginning of a revenue based redemption system. I don't see any basis for that, although it does seem likely that Delta is just trying to take away reference so that when somebody sees an award that is priced higher than it should be, they'll have nowhere to appeal to.

akcae Feb 6, 2015 1:22 pm

This'll be our new chart:

$0.01 = 1 SkyMile

Delta's spin: SkyMiles Program enhancement -- all seats on all flights available for award redemption!
