Received the second "Let's try again" email with the working link last night, picked up 5K RDMs in the account this morning, labeled "0115 Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining 5K Miles"

I got my "try again" e-mail and claimed my miles.

I'll take any free miles they want to throw my way, but honestly, I have no idea what this is for. I can't remember the last IROP I had. My last few trips were fine.

I got the email but just a link to the op center page. Should I call and try to get some miles?

I received an email from Delta suggesting I spend
some miles.

Starting to wonder what happens if I do not comply.

I get those now and then. Only once was it associated with a "sale" on award flights, which happened a few months ago, IIRC for coach tickets to the Caribbean in the early fall.

It's not like you're disobeying a crew member's instructions.

Reminds me of what James Cagney used to say in the movies:

“Nice place you got here. Be a shame if anything happened to it.”

No worries. I had enough for both of us last year!

Apology snail mail & already credit bonus vs. apology email open & click

This is silly. Previously, we would have been notified of an apology and are notified of already credited bonus but now we actually have to find the email and click through its link to getting the bonus miles. This is delta being sneaky about bonus miles.... Grr

I got the same email/offer. I assumed it was because they sent self-congratulatory emails re: on-time arrival at the destination ... when the flight was still delayed at the origin. I clicked, but was not eligible for the 5,000 add'l miles.

Hey! DELTA! This ain't the correct way to be doing "social" ...

Just received a Delta email, thought "here it is"....

Nope, take a survey about your luggage experience flying out of LHR, get 250 miles. At least I got something today...
