Do schedule changes have a schedule?
I seem to recall posts in the not too distant past on this forum about whole flurries of Delta schedule changes occuring at regular intervals during the year. Is this actually the case, or do schedule changes now happen continuously? If there are regular rounds of changes, about when do they occur? The reason I ask is that I have some award flights scheduled with my remaining SkyMiles in late April, and due to SkyTeam limitations, I will have to buy separate tickets to get to where I really want to go at both ends of the SkyTeam segments. FWIW, the SkyTeam portions involve HNL-SEA and SEA-LHR. Thanks for any info, even if speculative. I would hate to buy those tickets only to have to pay to change them.

Schedule changes usually are entered on Saturdays, but changes for travel in late April can happen until February or March (or even later, in principle). You can change for free when departures/arrivals are shifted by more than a certain time period (1.5-2 h), so as long as you have a few hours on each end, you should be fine.

I am in the same boat, traveling in late April and waiting for a schedule change. I am currently at 1 h 21 mins in DTW I-D.

FWIW I just got a schedule change yesterday (Saturday) for a May flight. Changed my departure from 8:15 AM to 6:00 AM (no thank you). I used to be able to find a new flight online and select there, but it's still charge me the change fee... do I really have to call to do this?
