Ignoring the case, that's a conversion of about 17.5 RDMs to 1 MQM. Even as a DM with AmEx Reserve, you only earn 13 RDMs per dollar spent on DL fares, so in a sense this is equivalent to spending more than a dollar per MQM, which would be a high fare (even for G A P) except for last minute purchase of a very flexible ticket. Another way of looking at it is that a D1 low RT award ticket to Europe would cost 125,000 RDMs but of course not earn any MQMs (or RDMs) for at least slightly more distance flown (depending on the particular European destination and routing, but something like JFK-LHR would give a roughly comparable distance). Your MR is basically a means to convert RDMs to MQMs, albeit not at a very favorable ratio. I hope you had fun.If one needs to do a MR, it's obviously better to do it in D1 and FC.
