Question Possible improvements in the DL VS relationship?? :)

Hi all,

I booked LHR SEA LAX LHR for Christmas today.

LHR SEA cleared with the GUC and SEA LAX looks good right now.

LAX LHR is on VS. Looking at seat options tonight proved interesting...previously on VS, I could only book regular Y seats regardless of availability of extra legroom. This was still the case 3 weeks ago when I flew ATL LHR on VS. Was very pleased VS let me book the exit for free!

Hoping it sticks...of course this is NOT AF/KL!

Just wanted to say, that, I read the entire post, and thought - - This post'll definitely be of interest to "rwoman".

. . . . . then, I looked in the upper left corner . . . .

Yes, I was very surprised to be able to select a better VS seat at NO cost!

If this is in the mix, I'd expect VS elites to potentially gain access to EC seats on DL metal.

Naturally, I'll consider PE if it's an option to UG on the LAX LHR flight.

I had no problem in August booking a great seat on VS75 - in the end I cancelled due to lost Green Card.

Mrs. ND76 (a PM in 2015) and I (a DM in 2015) flew JFK-LHR and back on VS on an award ticket in Y in July, 2015. We were able to grab the "extra legroom" seats in Y about 24 hours after booking with DL after we got our reservation locator on VS (could not do it immediately on the VS site).

I've not had any issues getting extra leg room seats after booking. For my trip a week ago (bought about 3 weeks prior), I called DL, booked, used the VS PNR to access my reservation, and selected an Extra Legroom Seat.
