Delta A330 business class seats

Flying from Seattle to Shanghai on Delta A330 with new herringbone configuration in business class. Anyone have insight to best seats?

MSPeconomist Oct 11, 14 10:34 am

One or two people?

Just one.

Any window seat. I prefer 3J, just because there seems to be less foot traffic in that aisle with the purser mainly haunting the A aisle. On a A330-200 I once got the second to last row in the mini-cabin behind door 2 and it wasn't bad, but there is risk there of screaming kinds from the bulkhead/bassinet seats in Y.

I would say as a single any A or J seat is good. I would just avoid first and last rows of the cabins

It is a very good biz class seat.

I flew in 4A from ATL-SEA last week. It was a nice seat.

I have an opportunity for 2A or 2J (only windows left on this particular flight) or about anything in the middle.

Kinda leaning to 2A but perhaps 2J for the less frequent foot traffic?

How much activity is there at the closets for the crew?

I prefer the middle 3C in particular.

The bin over 2A (and presumably 2J too) is small and odd shaped, but it fits a legal roller bag and a small personal item. I didn't notice whether the window shelf is smaller too due to the curve of the fuselage.

I noticed this too. Generally though the A330 has plenty of space in J regardless.

If in the A332, I would highly suggest row 9. No traffic as everyone goes forward, personalized service, plenty dark, and no noise/light from the galley.

But in the 333 it's a less desirable seat (for some) as it is missing one window, you need to lean forward to see out of the next one.

I'd worry about being so close to the first row of coach. IIRC thoose are bassinet seats.

Delta A330 business class seats

Just flew SEA-HKG-SEA a couple weeks back. 3J is excellent. No lines on that side of cabin for forward restrooms, folks standing quite a bit on the A side, especially after meals served. Was in 4J on return, pretty much the same. Great flight attendants on both flights.
