Complimentary domestic upgrades for all Y fares (only), excluding blackout dates and select markets.

Mods please close this thread, the content is positively dangerous!

Having come from UA I can tell you, they have adopted virtually every "sarcastic" cutback proposed on FT over the past few years lol.

There is legitimate fear not to suggest things like charging for drinks in first or removing ice from drink carts over there.

and the point of this thread?

Basically to complain about changes/devaluations that might happen in 2016?

I'm not really sure I follow why this is an exercise that's worth anyone's time?

just trying to have a little fun maybe??
sometimes its better laugh about things as opposed to getting angry at them.

I like to have more than a "little fun," but, my "fun" doesn't involve complaining about Delta SkyMiles. It's a business decision. If Delta SkyMiles doesn't work for you, you should move on. We can't live in the past, and predicting the future is a waste of time.

I stand by my initial comment, it's a sophomoric rambling about future SkyMiles devaluations. I "think" this has been covered conceptually, at least 100 times in this forum.

I will offer the same advice, if this thread does not work for you, you should move on and not worry. Complaining about people having fun complaining might also be interpreted as pretty "sophomoric" as well.

totally right predicting pesky things like the future is a total waste of time, why would I want to try to figure out what might happen tomorrow? I will give up silly things like financial planning, why in the world would I want to figure out what direction a company might go in before I give them my future business. I am pretty sure we are on a airline forum mostly discussing future plans, what planes they might use, or seat selection, I can go on and on.

^^^

Just staying current on this thread is not "worth my time" but it is fun.

Now, if I have counted correctly, we are up to...

... people complaining about...

... people complaining about...

... people complaining about...

... people complaining about SkyMiles.

Did I miss an iteration?

As long as SkyMiles stays the way it is, and as long as there are folks willing to defend SkyMiles with more energy than they would put into defending their mother's honor, there will always be something amusing to watch on FT.

And... IBTL

Yes. You missed the infinite recursive iteration:

for N==1...999999999999999999999999999999e+99999999999 9999999999 {
(People complaining about )**N about skymiles.
}
loop;

Interesting.

That space in the exponent does not appear in my original text.

At one point in the past decade, AA sort of had this stupid policy. To redeem the VDBC voucher, they required a booking fee. There was no way to avoiding this fee as it was not bookable online.
