Ben & Jerry's

When did DL start serving Ben & Jerry's ice cream for desert on dinner flights?

Got Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie ice cream for dessert on a flight last Saturday. And it wasn't rock hard! Although earlier this year they were serving the Ciao Bella Belgian Chocolate gelato, which I thought was a little better -- but either is good.

I had Cherry Garcia last week and it was hard as a rock! Had to let it sit for a while before it was edible but when it was, it was good.

Which route? Is it replacing the Dancing deer on 2:30-3:30 hr flights, or plated desserts on the longer ones?

It's been a while since I've been on a meal flight on DL, so I can't remember what distinguishes lunch from dinner, esp on the shorter flights

Lunch and dinner did indeed seem the same on this route, which was just over a thousand miles each way.

Ben & Jerry's isn't nearly as good as it used to be but if it makes regular appearances that would be just fine.
