This wiki is intended to contain a list of opportunities to fly internationally configured wide-body aircraft within the United States, aside from the usual JFK-LAX/SFO 767s and newer domestic DeltaOne routes. This is a collaborative wiki, not an OP-maintained thread; please contribute by editing the wiki directly as you become aware of regularly scheduled or repositioning flights. Schedules change far more frequently than community members have time to update this wiki; therefore please verify the equipment before purchasing a flight.

These international narrowbodies would normally also fly the domestic DeltaOne routes JFK-LAX/SFO, BOS-LAX, and DCA-LAX.

During COVID-19, when many international routes are suspended, they can be found on some domestic routes (including Hawai'i):

Regular service through March 2021:
JFK-LAS
JFK-PHX
JFK-SAN
JFK-SEA
JFK-SFO
JFK-SLC
LAX-KOA
SEA-KOA
SEA-OGG

Positioning / one-offs:
SLC-SEA
SLC-LAS
SLC-BOS 4x a week
BOS-LAX
JFK-MEX
JFK-SJU
LAX-HNL

one way to search for these on ITA

This Delta Cargo schedule lists wide body routes by region.

Looks like the A350 is running between LAX and ATL, Sunday only Red-Eye to ATL, Monday evening only return to LAX. Through Sept. 6th

That might be the source of the glitch. Flight 110 on weekdays is the 7:30 departure with a 738. But that flight is eliminated this weekend, so flight 110 slides over to the 8:30 77L departure.

Well THAT'S certainly weird...Now I'm almost curious to see what happens if I SDC to this flight on Sunday.

As others have already mentioned, FlightAware shows DL110 ATL-LAX operated by 738s more days than not since the beginning of November. A 752 and 739 scattered in, but only one 77L in the past couple weeks.

Flight in air right now is a 738.
It should look like this:

737-800 seat map

Sunday's flight will be a 77L. You can count on it.

Re: seat map - I'm not sure what I'm comparing. The screenshot I posted is the same one I've been seeing for a while when clicking on "View Seats" from the flight selection page (when trying to make a booking). Same style of seat map shows with every single other flight/search I try on DL.com.

I don't know that I trust it enough to count on it being a 77L, honestly. There's evidence that DL110 is operated by a 737 with some regularity (including on past weekends), the seatmap during booking shows a 737, AND ALSO the seatmap on DL.com where I'd select a seat shows open seats where EF shows occupied.

Perhaps it will end up being a 77L, but if not, I'd rather not be one of two people holding a BP for seat 1A, alongside a 30-ish people booked in FC for a plane with only 16 FC seats.

N710DN will be a good guess. JNB-ATL usually rotates to ATL-LAX, and N710DN is starting the JNB-ATL-JNB adventure today.

Compare it to your screenshot. See the difference? The newer seat maps are much nicer and have more detail. The seat map for Sunday's flight is the old style. Been a while since I'd seen it. Forgot how they used to look.

You can count in it. The 77L is the scheduled equipment. This time the seat map was wrong. It will take a last-minute unscheduled operational change for it not to be a 77L, and for that route, it simply doesn't happen. The 77L needs to get over to LAX. It's one of the safest choices in the domestic system.

yep, saw that; I figure the aircraft info will pull through around the time DL200 gets to JNB

Yes. The difference I see is that they are from two completely separate parts of the website. The style I see in my screenshot is the exact same style I see for literally every other flight I click on via the booking pages, and what I've been seeing on those pages for quite a while.

Let's just say that I don't have the same confidence level as you, as this flight has been a non-77L many times in in recent days, including Sundays. I imagine DL has other ways to get 77L to LAX if they need to.

Updated the wiki for HNL-ATL equipment change effective 3/25/2018 - 333 is replaced by 764. The 764 then shows through the end of schedule. Ugh - this is a downgrade of the J hard product.

The 764 also has 47 fewer seats and there is still only one flight per day - going to be a lot tougher for non-revs on this route.

Looks like HNL-MSP is also facing an even steeper downgauge, from 333->763 (the 26J type).

This also has adjacent change on HNL-SLC(-ATL) route served by 333 till 3/24/2018. Since 3/25/2018, SLC-HNL will be flown by 763 with domestic F.

This change is normal and it was like this last year when TATL demand picks back up at the end of March and the A330 is needed for more important TATL runs.
