This wiki is intended to contain a list of opportunities to fly internationally configured wide-body aircraft within the United States, aside from the usual JFK-LAX/SFO 767s and newer domestic DeltaOne routes. This is a collaborative wiki, not an OP-maintained thread; please contribute by editing the wiki directly as you become aware of regularly scheduled or repositioning flights. Schedules change far more frequently than community members have time to update this wiki; therefore please verify the equipment before purchasing a flight.

These international narrowbodies would normally also fly the domestic DeltaOne routes JFK-LAX/SFO, BOS-LAX, and DCA-LAX.

During COVID-19, when many international routes are suspended, they can be found on some domestic routes (including Hawai'i):

Regular service through March 2021:
JFK-LAS
JFK-PHX
JFK-SAN
JFK-SEA
JFK-SFO
JFK-SLC
LAX-KOA
SEA-KOA
SEA-OGG

Positioning / one-offs:
SLC-SEA
SLC-LAS
SLC-BOS 4x a week
BOS-LAX
JFK-MEX
JFK-SJU
LAX-HNL

one way to search for these on ITA

This Delta Cargo schedule lists wide body routes by region.

Looks like the A350 is running between LAX and ATL, Sunday only Red-Eye to ATL, Monday evening only return to LAX. Through Sept. 6th

Thank you DiscoPapa and javabytes

I have probably completely screwed this up--I tried to put two quotes in, but don't know what happened. As you can see by my number of posts, I don't do this very often.

BUT...I did want to thank you DiscoPapa for finding the flights, and javabytes for maintaining this thread.

I have been looking for domestic 747s because my family wants to ride them before they go "out" so I appreciate your finding them. I immediately grabbed 3 seats in upper deck. Date is a little inconvenient, however, if more flights show up, I can change. If not, this is wonderful!

Thanks again.

I'm thinking about taking advantage of this. Not sure I'll ever have a better opportunity to fly a 744 from MSP domestically. Prices seem a little high but I suppose that's because it's Thanksgiving weekend. I'm a little worried about the weather at that time of the year and a possible equipment change but I'll probably end up booking it and taking my chances.

OCT 19 - MCO-ATL 767-300 DL1980

Related to Food&Wine in Epcot?

Ha...actually, just realized. It will be this exact flight that will net me my 140th segment this year. I'll make DL DM after that leg!

OCT 13 - DL8791 - MSP-LAX INTERNATIONAL 767

Departs MSP: 630P
Arrives LAX: 830P

Found it by accident when searching return flights coming back from MNL through NRT/MSP to LAX. Got a steal on LAX-MSP-NRT-MNL-NRT-MSP-LAX all in BE for under $2900 with no advance purchase required, but of course heavy change fee.

Need to add to my previous post. It looks now like flight 8791 is operating on the first three mondays in October.

DELTA 8791 - INTERNATIONAL 767
MSP-LAX
OPERATES ON
06-OCT-2014
13-OCT-2014
20-OCT-2014

All operate the same times departing at 1830 and arriving at 2030

Is anyone aware of why an international 767 would be needed three Mondays in a row for MSP-LAX. PS The published timetable only shows 8791 operating on the 6th., the others have been added since.

Aircraft repositioning. A 76W replaces one of the 330 on AMS-MSP on Mondays only; the aircraft then operates MSP-LAX-ATL.

Not sure if I'm also supposed to add a post here instead of only updating the wiki, but added

ATL-SEA on sunday dec 7: DL8779, on 767-300ER. 8:55pm-11:33pm.

If not, please remove.

Wht the ATL-MSP-ATL, 777s?

Reposition from a long haul in MSP to a long haul in ATL?

Anyway, I plan to be on one of those!

I'm confirmed for the DL 744 flights via my home airport of FLL. F-class refundable tickets and Allianz should protect me if they pull a switcheroo on me in Hartsfield.

Also, how could you guys not notice the Suites 767-300 operated on FLL-ATL-FLL on Friday, October 10th, which I rode on and wrote a report on over in the trip reports forum: Delta First Class, BusinessElite 767-300 w/ Westin, Sarasota, FL, FLL-ATL-SRQ-ATL-FLL - FlyerTalk Trip Reports Forum

How would an insurance company protect you against switching equipment?

Well I enjoyed my flight on the A-330-300 from LAX-DTW last Sunday. It sure was popular...69 people on the upgrade list It was my first ever 333 in fact...pretty nice even in the back.

The 747 is a magnificent bird, but wow... $2,700 to fly it for one out of 4 segments on a FLL-ATL-MSP round trip?

There is an additional wide body route I just found on ATL-SLC-ATL

B767-400:
DAL2435 10:50AM - 1:02PM [ATL-SLC]
DAL1743 2:02PM - 7:35PM [SLC-ATL]

It appears to be a one day route.
