75Z: LAX-JFK -> Boarding through 1L/2L?

Hi All,

First ride on the 75S tomorrow in BE LAX-JFK. I know the 76Ws (from LAX only -- I know from JFK they both board from 2L) board from 1L and most 757s board from 2L. I assume the 75Z does as well, but wanted to see if anyone else can actually confirm this process.

Edited to change the 75Z to 75S.

Regards,

mbwmbw

I assume you mean the 75E/75S (TATL version of the 752)? IME, they use 2L.

Ultimately, I'm not sure it matters; the plane is going to leave LAX and head to JFK...

Typically, all 757s are boarded from 2L if possible. Depending on gate, there are times where 1L boarding is the only option. Based on my experience, I know that DL's gates at ABQ are not capable of boarding 757s from 2L, since all DL 757 flights I have flown there have used 1L for boarding.

Flew the 75S JFK-LAX last week and we boarded through 1L out of JFK (Gate B33 IIRC), and disembarked thru 2L at LAX. As already mentioned, depends on the gate/airport, etc. The 75S/E have boarded through 1L or 2L at JFK...

To add onto this, it really depends on what gate you have in LAX. The interior gates at T5 I usually get L2, but the end gates end up out of L1.

I'm sorry - however, with all due respect, I guess I don't see the need for this topic.

Does it really matter?

The suspense is killing me...will it be 1L or 2L...or for a real plot twist...1R!!!

Of course not, but then again 80% of the threads on the forum lately seem to be of limited value, at least to me.

Since OP has quadruple DM DYKWIA status, he will board via the cockpit window, and everyone else on the flight will be forced to board via the overwing exits. :D

I'm guessing you've never boarded a B757 and turned left. It's a very unique & cool feeling that's a little hard to put into words.

That said, as the B757s are phased out, does anyone expect that the A321s will use door 2L?

He could also be escorted to the plane in the catering truck.

I boarded a 75S at SFO a few weeks ago via 2L.

And per the below, could you explain to the OP how your life is now better and so much more worth living ? :D

This thread, and so many others on FT, remind me of Rain Man
