LOL glad I checked before hitting "Submit New Thread" if something had been posted in the time I was writing.

Curious how ups will be handled on this flight (i.e. like ATL which still doesn't allow complimentary medallion ups, or like other domestic stations-Hawaii).

Myself as well. I would think this will be like the ATL flight in regards to upgrades just because of length but it will be interesting to see.

FWIW this flight won't operate on Christmas Eve/Day (12/24-25), which shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.

You can upgrade from lax to hnl on a flat bed 767.

True, but you can't on ATL-HNL. I would think it would have more to do with duration than length. JFK-HNL is blocked at 11:58 currently and so it is much closer to ATL-HNL than LAX-HNL.

When looking to book, DL.com said that it was upgrade eligible. And the front cabin was booking into First, not Business. This could change though. If they have the usual domestic F catering, they may keep this as upgrade eligible. But who knows at this point...

Probably none just like the ATL-HNL flight since its not much longer... and they'll run out of buy-on-board within the first 4 hours

Currently the first class fare is coming up at 3.2k also. MA00UPNQ basis that books into A. Too far out for the /WNUP fares to be filed... Those generally don't get filed until within 6mo or 3mo from travel dates depending on destination.

I see lots of R upgrade inventory available too.
