CDG Layover question

After a couple of years following several of these forums, I am finally taking a DL award trip. I got a 60k r/t SEA-IST coming up. I have a 65 minute layover in CDG.

I arrive on DL615 at 1130 & depart on AF1890 at 1235.

I am concerned that I may miss the connection due to having to take a bus to the terminal & maybe/maybe not having a close gate.

Also, I would like to thank FT for all of the advise. Our family of four are on this trip on all award tickets with a couple of airlines. No credit cards.

Doable but tight!

Looks to me like you arrive and depart from Terminal 2E so it should be no problem, just don't delay.

Also, on the day I looked, there is a 7:10pm CDG-IST that they would put you on if you miss it.

(And if you do miss it, you could hop on a train, have a nice leisurely lunch in Paris and get back in plenty of time.

Either way, I think you're fine.

You have 1:05, depending on the winds. If you're lucky you might get there a bit early.

Both flights are to/from non-Schengen destinations, so chances are they are both using terminal 2E.

I had a 1:10 connection last week in 2E. We arrived a bit early, cleared security and had about 20 minutes in the lounge. That was my first CDG connection and it wasn't close to the horror stories I had read about.

Arrive and departing Terminal 2E has always been misleading to me. The main CDG website shows only T2E, however T2E also includes Hall K, Hall L and Hall M. When I do the Delta to AF I've always had to go downstairs in Hall K and take the train to Hall M. This website will show a true layout.

I'm a little concerned with my 1:10 connection flying SLC/CDG/TXL week-after-next. I know it's tight, and could have booked a later connecting flight, but I have something to do that night, and I'll need some rest before I go, so I'm hoping to make it.

The whole trip is 10 days, and it'll be tough to put all my stuff in carry-ons, but I'm going to try.

It will be tight

Hope the DL flight lands early. It can take on hour or more if they do remote parking, bus to terminal, find which terminal you need, go through security, bus or train to terminal, and to your gate.

Quite doable. Obviously, if the flight is late you are in trouble but that is rarely a problem. Just watch the signs carefully to find your way back into the terminal. It's a big airport and you can find yourself into the wrong line quite easily.

Thanks for the advice
