As of May 1, 2014, Delta no longer provides status-based access to third party lounges (lounges operated neither by Delta nor by a SkyTeam partner) for passengers departing on a Delta-operated flight. Based on reports in this thread, this does not apply to passengers departing the airport they're in on a flight operated by a SkyTeam partner: all other SkyTeam partners continue to provide status-based access to third-party lounges to all SkyTeam Elite Plus members, including Delta elites. Access to third-party lounges is determined by the policy of the operating carrier of the flight departing the airport.
Nothing has changed for passengers flying in business or first class on Delta.

By third party, I think they mean contracted lounges by companies such as Servisair or other companies.
Yet another devaluation...

I am confused how the LHR T4 lounge is a third party lounge???
On the Virgin Clubhouse, my guess is that will stay as its not a Elite Plus benefit but a special Delta benefit only for DM & PM flying transatlantic to LHR.
That said, I think this devaluation really sucks for those of us who have the Reserve card and are Elite Plus as we do not get Priority Pass. So you pay for a lounge, are elite and still DO NOT get lounge access. Ugh...

Maybe we could just get a summary of all the Delta devaluations coming this year in one place instead of Delta tripping them out in small doses?
Do they think this makes it easier to swallow, or is it to confuse?
